Promoting International Dialogue, Cultural Exchange, and Sustainable Cooperation
Intercultural Communication Centre “Republica” is a non-governmental organisation based in Nalchik, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Caucasus.” The Centre is dedicated to promoting international dialogue, scientific cooperation, cultural exchange, and sustainable development initiatives within the North Caucasus region and beyond.
The mission of the Centre is to support the development of science, culture, education, and the arts while contributing to the preservation of the unique natural and cultural heritage of Kabardino-Balkaria. Through international conferences, educational programmes, research initiatives, cultural projects, and strategic partnerships, the Centre fosters cooperation among researchers, academic institutions, cultural organisations, and civil society representatives from different countries.
Recognising the rich diversity of traditions, languages, and cultures that shape the Caucasus and the broader Eurasian region, the Centre promotes mutual respect, intercultural understanding, and collaboration as foundations for a sustainable future.
Today, the Centre serves as a platform for international engagement, bringing together scientists, educators, cultural leaders, policymakers, and environmental experts to address shared challenges and develop new partnerships. Particular attention is devoted to strengthening cooperation among the BRICS countries in the fields of science, environmental sustainability, climate resilience, education, culture, and public diplomacy.
